Sportradar launches Bettor Sense to enhance responsible gambling

Sportradar Group AG has unveiled Bettor Sense, a new AI-powered tool designed to proactively detect signs of gambling-related harm and deliver personalised interventions.

The solution aims to support betting operators in addressing emerging user risks before they escalate, using behavioural insights and real-time data to guide protective measures.

The tool represents a significant advancement in responsible gambling technology. Built with proprietary algorithms, Bettor Sense monitors user behaviour to identify early markers of potentially harmful patterns.

When risks are detected, the system enables operators to respond through tailored, timely outreach.

The tool is fully compliant with existing regulatory frameworks and is intended to help operators meet rising standards for consumer protection across the global sports betting and iGaming industry.

The implementation of Bettor Sense is expected to alleviate pressure on operators who face growing scrutiny from both regulators and the public.

By integrating real-time behavioural analytics with responsible gambling interventions, the tool aims to reinforce brand credibility while actively safeguarding users.

This data-driven paradigm offers a scalable solution to an industry-wide conundrum: how to balance customer engagement with ethical oversight.

BETesporte embraces Bettor Sense

BETesporte, a betting operator active in Brazil’s recently regulated market, will be the first to deploy Bettor Sense.

The company’s adoption of the technology is part of a broader strategy to embed responsible gaming at the core of its platform operations.

BETesporte has also joined Sportradar’s Integrity Exchange, a global network where participating operators share intelligence on suspicious betting activity.

Through Integrity Exchange, BETesporte gains access to a collaborative information-sharing ecosystem designed to combat match-fixing and sports corruption.

The combined adoption of Bettor Sense and participation in the Integrity Exchange reflects BETesporte’s effort to foster both player safety and game integrity within Brazil’s evolving regulatory landscape.

According to Sportradar’s SVP of integrity & regulatory services, product & strategy, Tom Mace, the BETesporte partnership demonstrates how operators can leverage advanced technology to fulfil compliance responsibilities while promoting sustainable growth.

BETesporte CEO Marcos Pereira emphasised the importance of anticipating risky behaviour and affirmed the company’s commitment to maintaining a secure and transparent betting environment.

Jefferies analysts see optimism for Sportradar

Jefferies increased its price target for Sportradar Group AG earlier this month, raising it from $27.00 to $32.00, while maintaining its Buy rating.

The adjustment follows a significant rise in Sportradar’s stock, which has gained over 150% in the past year and is trading close to its 52-week peak of $30.63. It opened at $28 today (30 July).

The revised target is based on higher valuation assumptions, with Jefferies now applying a 5x enterprise value-to-sales (EV/Sales) multiple, up from 4x, and a 20x enterprise value-to-EBITDA (EV/EBITDA) multiple, increased from 13.5x.

The brokerage also factors in approximately €2.50 per share in added value from Sportradar’s IMG Arena acquisition.

While Jefferies maintains a bullish stance, it has slightly reduced its financial forecasts due to adverse currency exchange effects.

Second-quarter 2025 revenue is now expected to reach €313m, down from an earlier estimate of €319m, with adjusted EBITDA lowered from €57m to €56m.

For the full year 2025, the firm anticipates revenue of €1.27bn and adjusted EBITDA of €287m.

Its outlook for fiscal year 2026 projects revenue at €1.44bn and EBITDA at €352m, both trailing slightly behind market consensus estimates of €1.46bn in revenue and €359m in EBITDA.
