Online casino and sportsbook operator Stake has successfully secured a licence in Peru, under its newly established regulatory framework, marking its official entry into the country’s burgeoning iGaming market.
This development positions Stake as one of the first companies to secure such a licence in Peru.
“We are delighted to bring Stake to Peru, a country that has a lot of potential for digital growth, which has been evident in recent years,” said Diana Otalora, general manager for Latin America at Stake.
To spearhead its operations in Peru, Stake has appointed Jennyfer Escobar as its new country manager.
Escobar brings nine years of experience in the Peruvian gaming sector, having previously worked for Easygo, BoyleSports, and Inkabet.
“I am thrilled to join team Stake and help to guide efforts in Peru.
“The Peruvian market has significant growth potential and we look forward to engaging even further with the region. I’m excited to continue contributing to the dynamic world of gaming in Peru and to drive innovation in this evolving industry,” said Escobar.
Peru has quickly become a key target for international iGaming companies since the opening of its regulated market in February 2024.
Businesses that have obtained licences include Betsson, Bragg Gaming, Golden Matrix, JUGABET.
