OnAir Entertainment has engaged an independent investigator to scrutinise recent allegations of competitor spying.
The allegations originally surfaced on LinkedIn when former OnAir senior product owner Ivans Ivanovs accused OnAir game portfolio lead Igors Veliks of maintaining user access to the internal system at live casino rival Playtech.
Veliks had allegedly retained access to the system after exiting his role at Playtech’s Euro Live Technologies subsidiary.
In a statement provided to NEXT.io, OnAir Entertainment pledged to take serious action to investigate the allegations.
“The OnAir Entertainment Group is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
“In response to the recent allegations raised on LinkedIn, we want to assure our clients and stakeholders that we are taking immediate and decisive action.
“The OnAir Entertainment Group has engaged the services of an independent investigator to conduct a thorough examination of the allegations.
“As the investigation progresses, we will provide updates as appropriate, while respecting the confidentiality and privacy of all parties involved.”
Responding to the initial allegations, Playtech told NEXT.io it would investigate whether potential instances of IP infringement had taken place.
NEXT.io has seen no evidence to support any suggestions of potential IP infringement.
