Gustaf Hagman & Jonas Delin launch new live casino firm Avanti Studios

Industry veterans Gustaf Hagman and Jonas Delin have launched a new motion capture live casino supplier called Avanti Studios.

Avanti was described in the press release announcing its launch as a “disruptive” new live casino software provider designed the tackle the sector’s biggest pain points.

These, it continued, include slow innovation, high operating costs, poor dealer presentation, limited low-stakes & localised tables and costly scalability.

The news comes just over a year since Gustaf Hagman stepped down as CEO of LeoVegas, the business he co-founded and helped steward through its $607m acquisition by MGM Resorts.

Meanwhile, Jonas Delin stepped down as CEO and founder of LeoVegas’ former live dealer arm Authentic Gaming in April, which was itself acquired by Genting for €15m in 2019.

Hagman highlights Avanti ‘next-gen’ tech

Hagman said: “Player trust has always been the cornerstone of live casino success. At Avanti, we preserve that trust through genuine real-time multiplayer action while leveraging next-gen technology for flawless execution and scalability.

“This is Live Casino done better – it’s authentic, reliable, and has been built for the future.”

The studio uses an in-house motion capture studio which records the precise movements, mannerisms, and techniques of experienced land-based croupiers.

This, Avanti said, combined with advanced 3D animation and AI, delivers an ultra-realistic gaming environment with lifelike digital clones as live dealers.

The start-up claimed the live dealers and environments can be customised to perfectly match any operator’s brand, language, appearance, dealing speed, and stakes.

The live experience is powered by a proprietary cloud-based Unreal Engine streaming protocol built specifically for mobile players, which streams high-definition video directly to the player.

Avanti said it is in advanced talks with leading operators, with its official rollout beginning Q1 2026 and initially featuring multiple Live Baccarat and Blackjack variants, Dragon Tiger, and localised Top Card games.

Games will launch in regulated markets worldwide, starting in Spain with Avanti’s original Toro vs. Matador Live and Live Blackjack.

Delin added: “Traditional Live Casino has been slow to embrace innovation. We’ve put technology at the centre, eliminating human error and operational bottlenecks so that operators can focus on growth whilst providing the best possible player experience.

“Our model enables rapid game launches, continuous feature updates, and game innovation at a pace the industry has never seen in this vertical.”
