AI live dealer firm Avanti pens multi-market partnership with Entain

Virtual live casino start-up Avanti Studios has entered into a new, multi-market content partnership with Entain.

Under the agreement, Entain will offer Avanti’s full range of content across its brands. It will also include a one-month exclusivity period for Avanti’s blackjack product in Spain.

Other Avanti titles going live across Entain platforms include Toro y Matador, Toro y Matador Turbo, Dragon Tiger and Baccarat.

Avanti launched in early 2026 as a “disruptive” new live casino software provider. Headed up by industry veterans Gustaf Hagman and Jonas Delin, the studio develops live casino games presented by AI-powered “digital clone” dealers.

The AI dealers are built using MetaHuman and 3D animation tools. Both their appearance and language can also be tailored to suit operators across various market, Avanti said.

Commenting on the new linkup, Entain’s global gaming director Obdulio Bacarese said the deal complements the group’s focus on providing the best player experiences.

“To continue doing that, we’re always on the lookout for suppliers who can innovate while remaining compliant,” Bacarese said. “Avanti’s approach to live casino certainly fits that bill.

“A combination of real-time action and provably fair RNG will enable us to provide a thrilling mix of games that are both flexible and scalable enough to serve our global audience.”

Are robots taking over live casino?

During its six-month life, Avanti has already drawn plenty of interest from the wider industry. Earlier in June, it completed a €5m seed funding round backed by Genting Casinos UK, among others. This increased its overall fundraising to €10m.

Given the amount of interest in its virtual offering, this has posed the question of whether the new segment can truly challenge human casino dealers within the live dealer space.

Delin of Avanti has spoken about the cost savings of switching to virtual dealers, which in turn can open up more game types to players. He gave the example of being able to run lower limit blackjack tables due to reduced operating costs.

However, Evolution chief product officer Todd Haushalter is of the viewpoint that human live dealers will continue to dominate the space. Speaking on the NEXT.io Podcast, he accepted that AI will play an increasing role in game development, but predicted AI-generated live dealers would struggle to gain traction with players.
