BetMGM has formalised a partnership with the Las Vegas Aces, making it the exclusive online casino and sportsbook partner of the reigning WNBA champions.
This marks the first time a leading sportsbook has partnered with a professional women’s sports team in such a capacity, but is not the first major partnership for the sportsbook.
The announcement was made in a high-profile meeting at the Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas, where BetMGM executives joined Las Vegas Aces leadership to unveil the collaboration.
The event underscored a shared commitment to both athletic excellence and community engagement.
Nikki Fargas, president of the Aces, emphasised the broader implications of the agreement, particularly the potential for positive impact on the future of women’s sports and deeper community involvement.
In addition to the commercial elements of the partnership, BetMGM and the Aces pledged season-long philanthropic support for The Just One Project, a nonprofit organisation based in Las Vegas that tackles food insecurity.
Through this initiative, the two entities will provide groceries and support services to families across the Las Vegas area, integrating charitable work into the fabric of the 2025 WNBA season.
The initiative aligns with BetMGM’s ongoing corporate social responsibility efforts, according to the company.
Throughout the 2025 season, the partnership is expected to yield multiple activations, including branded digital content, exclusive promotional offerings for fans, and expanded community outreach initiatives.
These activities are designed to enhance fan engagement and elevate the profile of the WNBA, while also serving as a potential model for future alliances between gaming companies and women’s professional sports organisations.
BetMGM secures Missouri sports betting access
Separately, BetMGM has also secured market access in Missouri through a long-term agreement with Century Casinos.
This deal will enable BetMGM to offer both online and mobile sports betting services in the state, contingent upon regulatory approval from the Missouri Gaming Commission.
The company will operate under Century’s gaming licences and will share a portion of net gaming revenue with Century Casinos.
Under the terms of the agreement, BetMGM will become the official digital sportsbook provider for Century’s Missouri operations, which include Century Casino & Hotel Cape Girardeau and Century Casino Caruthersville.
The partnership also grants Century the option to develop physical sportsbooks at these locations, complementing the digital offerings and creating an integrated betting experience.
While Missouri has yet to formally launch its regulated sports betting industry, this partnership positions BetMGM to quickly enter the market once licensure is granted.
The Missouri Gaming Commission has stipulated that all operators must secure proper authorisation before launching services.
BetMGM’s established compliance infrastructure and national presence are expected to facilitate a smooth approval process.
This strategic expansion reinforces BetMGM’s position as a dominant player in the US gaming market, where it currently ranks as the third-largest online operator by market share.
As legislative momentum builds for legalised sports betting in Missouri, BetMGM’s early positioning may provide a competitive edge once operations begin.
