There are millions of queries typed into search engines in the UK each day, and it won’t come as much of a surprise to learn that the biggest and most well-known of these platforms is Google, with 94.18% of the market share, according to Global Stats.
Having access to this search data can be a goldmine for advertisers as it allows them to target specific demographics.
Google kindly supplies this information to those who use their paid ads service through the Keyword Planner Tool, providing the most accurate numbers online for each search term sought out.
What information was collected and how was it used?
First, the top 50 most populated cities in the UK, referenced from the last census in 2021, were listed.
