Stats Perform named FIFA’s first official global betting data and streaming distributor

Stats Perform has been confirmed as the first-ever official worldwide betting data and betting streaming rights distributor for FIFA, securing exclusive rights that include coverage of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The multi-year agreement represents a major shift in how FIFA’s official betting-related data and live content are distributed to licensed sports betting operators globally.

Under the agreement, Stats Perform will exclusively collect and distribute official FIFA betting data and live video streams for a broad portfolio of FIFA competitions.

Stats Perform CEO Carl Mergele said: “Our clients will be delighted we’re able to add FIFA competitions to our Opta and RunningBall official betting data portfolio, and our innovative, AI-enriched Bet LiveStreams service.”

These include the upcoming expanded 48-team World Cup, covering all 104 matches beginning 11 June and running through 19 July.

It also includes the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027, the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2028, and future editions of the Women’s Futsal World Cup, FIFA U-20 World Cup, FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup through 2029.

Stats Perform explained that the deal also covers thousands of matches each season from FIFA member association competitions delivered via FIFA+.

A shift in the betting paradigm

Stats Perform’s RunningBall division will be responsible for the collection and global distribution of “ultrafast” official FIFA betting data to licensed sportsbooks.

This data will support pricing models, trading operations, bet settlement, and in-play betting interfaces.

In parallel, the company’s Opta division will supply official player statistics, live scores, match trackers, and analytical insights, reinforcing Opta’s position as a ubiquitous data source across the regulated sports betting sector.

In addition to data rights, the agreement grants Stats Perform exclusive distribution rights for live betting video streams for selected FIFA competitions.

Licensed sportsbooks in approved territories will be able to offer live match video through Stats Perform’s Bet LiveStreams platform, which uses AI-driven technology to reduce latency while increasing reliability and scalability.

Coverage includes exclusive betting streams for the 2026 World Cup and the 2027 Women’s World Cup, aligning live video with in-play betting products.

The arrangement reflects FIFA’s decision to consolidate betting data and streaming under a single authorised distributor, placing the onus on regulated operators to source official content rather than relying on unofficial feeds.
